Thanks for the help on this. I was looking at the Motorola SB6120 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 eXtreme Broadband Cable Modem. This might be overkill for a lower speed Internet cable connection but it has gotten great reviews. It would pay for itself in a year of Comcrap lease fees. The only downside is that if it were to fail I would be down until I got a new one on my own. No big deal as I could probably get a new one and get it up faster than Comcast would anyway. Any comments on this modem or a better choice? I have assumed this modem would work with Comcast. I would have to check that before buying.
