 how would a guest know a sharename?
of course, even better, disable file and print sharing.

Stick a $ at the end of the share name you want to see, and you can see it.

Hidden share names are like hidden SSIDs - they are somewhat effective
against noobs who don't know any better.

NTFS permissions are a much better and safer solution, if you don't
want to go the route of a router with 2 networks (like a protected
zone and a DMZ zone).
