[PLUG] [plug-announce] PLUG North, Tue, May 14, 2013 - Etherpad!, presented by Jonathan Simpson (at CoreDial in Blue Bell, 7pm) |
This month, PLUG North welcomes Jonathan Simpson, who will be giving a presentation about Etherpad, an online multi-user editor. Jonathan describes his talk as follows: Etherpad is an open source collaborative editing package. For years, people have referred to IRC as "multiplayer notepad." Etherpad is the *real* multiplayer notepad. Etherpad allows multiple contributors to edit in real-time, and supports all sorts of nifty features for basic formatting, versioning, and more. I'll cover some uses for etherpad, some modifications I and others have made, and how I've used it within my own projects. http://etherpad.org/ Come and talk with other Linux users about Free and Open Source Software! Never been to a meeting before? New to Linux? Please help us plan an series of new-user-friendly talks.
