The Philadelphia Area Linux Users Group (PLUG) cordially invites you to a PLUG North meeting on Tuesday, June 11 at CoreDial in BlueBell, PA from 7-9 pm. See below for directions to the meeting location. This month PLUG welcomes back Walt Mankowski, who will be giving a talk about scientific programming with Python, focusing on the use of the NumPy and SciPy packages. NumPy provides a foundation for the manipulation of multidimensional arrays, and SciPy provides modules for many common scientific algorithms and mathematical tools, from FFTs and signal processing to clustering and image processing. http://www.scipy.org Walt is currently a post-doctoral researcher at Drexel university. He has given versions of this talk at PLUG Central and PLUG West. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 11, from 7-9pm (7-8 General Q&A, 8-9 Presentation) at CoreDial in Blue Bell, PA.
