[PLUG] GUI WiFi Scanner Wanted |
My Gentoo desktop is firmly chained to an Ethernet cable, but since I've got several USB WiFi gizmos, I thought I'd like to monitor my Wireless Access Port, as well as the strengths of those around me. I've got a nifty little android app the shows all my neighbors' WiFI signals, and I wanted something similar for my desktop. I use KDE, and the KDE networking package lets you scan for signals, but doesn't have an independent application that lets you keep scanning like the android app. Also, it's really designed to connect to the WiFi, which I don't care about. Anybody know of a good GUI program that will let you continuously scan the WiFi neighborhood? -- Casey Bralla Chief Nerd in Residence The NerdWorld Organisation www.NerdWorld.org ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
