[PLUG] Slightly OT: Active user groups for M$ developers in the area? |
The Philly dot Net has just revamped their website, and yes, they DO HAVE a mailing list. You just have to be patient enough to find where it is on the site to sign up. Also, their upcoming Sharepoint Saturday in April is probably sold out , and the Saturday Code Camp just announced will be at the Valley Forge Casino and it will also sell out. The Philly Alt Net group rarely meets, but I think they still have an active mailing list / forum. Also, if you are really into Professional Software Development, check out http://www.AgilePhilly.com which is the Agile, Lean, Scrum and Kanban software development user group in Philly. The upcoming meeting next week is on Function Points & Estimations . . .a deep subject. Also, there will be 2 meetings of AgilePhilly downtown in April. - John Voris, Coordinator, AgilePhilly http://www.AgilePhilly.com Date: Wed, 12 Mar 2014 17:39:07 +0000 From: Ed Roper To: Philadelphia Linux User's Group Discussion List Subject: [PLUG] Slightly OT: Active user groups for M$ developers in the area? I hope this inquiry isn't too off topic, but googling hasn't provided much results. I'm a fervent advocate for Linux, and love this group's mailing list and meetings, I'm having trouble finding any developer related groups with as active a user base. Unfortunately, I work mostly in the M$ technology stack. The Philly .NET users group doesn't even appear to have a mailing list, but they do at least meet once a month. Can anybody recommend some other groups that might provide for a good range of discussion & meeting topics with some more liveliness to them that would be relevant to developers working under the evil empire... thanks ed -------------- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
