I would like to present => this info to others just like that: you need to update x package because => of => y critical/important security issue. Maybe try grabbing the yum-security RPM from Scientific Linux 5. http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/17842831/dir/scientific_linux_5/com/yum-security-1.1.16-21.el5.noarch.rpm.html At first glance it seems like that might work.
