So using an app on your system like Kmail or Clams Mail does NOT work but a web client like RoundCube does work...

Questions...

1) Have you tried running the IMAP server at a debug / verbose level to see if it is detecting any write errors?
2) Same thing for Postfix
3) Is the same IMAP sever used by all client connections
