Re: [PLUG] KVM-over-IP switches friendly to Centos-shipping Java

I looked at Adder about a year ago. I seem to remember their solutions were compatible with the version of the JRE in newer EL- and Ubuntu-based distros at the time.

I keep getting bitten by procuring remote KVM switches that are happy to work with IE, but will not run their Java applet on any Linux system with JRE newer than 1.freaking4 or so. Often they aren’t compatible with the current system of Java security profiles, that Java will not run the applet without (even if I add the applet to the nominal whitelist that the Java control panel offers).
Does anyone have personal experience with a KVM vendor whose products support recent Java releases, such that Firefox on Centos/Mint/and hopefully MacOS/Oracle Java will load the applet? I’m looking for 16 ports/USB/don’t care about proprietary cables vs RJ45 modules
Thanks.
