I'll give it a shot tonight and post results.

I know why would i want to do this right?

I'm trying to get the USGCB NIST windows 7 VHD running in Linux (in VMWARE Workstation 10)

I've converted the VHD to a VMDK file with qemu.  Windows 7 starts to boot (in vmware), but complains about disk problems, spends about 20 minutes rewriting the disk and after that won't boot and demands a rescue CD (which I don't think I have).

Has anyone ever been able to run the USGCB images successfully?  I believe I did this ok back in the day without problems.  I'll probably retry in Virtualbox next, but if anyone has experience with this I appreciate advice.

Thanks,
Rohit
