Re: [PLUG] If you decided to use ansible you obviously made a good choice

It started life as an SSH multiplexer and had evolved into a full-up configuration management and deployment system. Since it runs over SSH and is effectively agent less, it's ideal for heterogeneous environments.

At $WORK, we use it heavily and it's ideal for agency work, as our clients are not beholden to us for a CM infrastructure build-out or firewall ports open to a CM server we maintain, as you'd expect with Puppet or Chef or Salt.

What is it exactly? Too many buzz words on the site. How will it effect the SAT server?

Been using it for a couple of years now. Love it.

Now RedHat needs to make Spacewalk/Satellite use it out of the box.

Red Hat will be using ansible. I personally think this is a good idea and much better than puppet for satellite.
