Re: [PLUG] Raspberry Pi NAS question

FWIW, I think you're just running into the limitations of low cost tinkerer/enthusiast gear. The USB on my RPis are all slightly flaky as well, especially when long idle or worked very hard.

My Raspberry Pi NAS has the habit of dropping its USB connections. Specifically, after some period of inactivity, I'll try to connect to the drive that I have mapped to the SAMBA share, and it shows empty. When I SSH to the NAS, it throws an input/output error when I try to ls the mount (/media/drive1 or /media/drive2- they're mirrored USB2 drives). A warm reboot restores the connection, but the problems always returns.

Any thoughts?
