Teaching Faculty Position

The Department of Information Science invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position in Computing and Security Technology (CST).  The BS CST degree program provides hands-on experience in managing and operating computer servers, networks, Web and mobile systems, and databases with particular attention to secure operations. Students choose one of two concentrations: Computing Technology or Computing Security.  The degree emphasizes hands-on learning and applied technology. 
 
Candidates should have a Master's degree or higher in a related subject area.  Relevant, recent work experience in IT is highly desirable.  Successful applicants will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and be involved in service to the Department and College.  Operational expertise in the following areas is of special interest: security, server administration, network administration, devops, and enterprise systems management.

The department has a broad, multidisciplinary view of applied computing and information science. The College is an innovative leader in educating information professionals in the twenty-first century, combining high quality teaching and research in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The College offers five BS degrees, six master's degrees, and two PhD degrees. 

Drexel is a private university committed to research with real-world applications. The University has over 26,000 students in 15 colleges and schools and offers about 200 degree programs. The College of Computing & Informatics is comprised of approximately 70 faculty and 2,000 students. Drexel has one of the largest and best known cooperative education programs in the country, with over 1,700 co-op employers. Drexel's University City campus is located on Philadelphia's "Avenue of Technology" in the University City District and at the hub of the academic, cultural and historical resources of the nation's sixth largest metropolitan region.
