[PLUG] Linux Systems analyst |
http://money.cnn.com/2016/10/22/technology/dyn-cyberattack/ for a second I thought that someone was involving Linux in this attack.. but I see that the dude's job title is Linux Systems Analyst... this attack imho, it was paid for (rented) and seems to have been a poc afaik, and it does not seem to be external to the US.... (which is scary) I think it would have been useful for anyone to to also, at this time of media light, to point out that if everyone uses 8.8.4.4 and/or one company to host DNS for github, twitter, etc etc etc - 1) this is not such a good idea and 2) again, even broadband providers needs to filter egress... more aggressively... also that companies must spend more money on abuse admin.. oh, yes, and world peace :) Andre ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
