[PLUG] ESR: Tools generate culture: a trivial example

Good reads for historical perspectives:

"Tools generate culture: a trivial example" http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=7311

And: http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/things-every-hacker-once-knew/

I've mentioned this before, but I also find _Absolute FreeBSD_ By Michael Lucas an awesome book for understanding the same kinds of *why* things work they way they do. Even if you only use Linux, you will get a whole lot of understanding out reading this book.

Later,
JP
