Re: [PLUG] PLUG Central - Sound on Linux: JACK (Keith Perry) & Audacity (George Zipperlen) |
George, I was glad to see so much interest in this subject and there were some great questions but I think you should go first next time that way you don't have to be rushed. Audacity is really much more of an audio tool than the complete production setup I was going over. After you, I can focus on Jack and how that is configured and used. Thanks to everyone that came out to PLUG Central for these talks. I was really pleasantly surprised by the interest. You all made this that much more enjoyable to present because it is not something I get to talk about normally. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Keith C. Perry, MS E.E. That came out wrong -- Keith had 50 minutes of smooth presentation on Ubuntu Studio, Muse, and Ardour. I followed on his coat tails with 5 awkward minutes on Audacity, using Keith's screen to show Audacity, and micing my tinny laptop speakers for sound. -- George Zipperlen george.zipperlen@mail.com ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
