Re: [PLUG] Random drops and throttling

This is all good stuff.  If you build linux routers, switches or security nodes this is good to know.

Once opon as time when I was just starting to do that, I read through the Advanced Linux Routing How To.  Its one of the few thing I ever printed out...

https://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/pdf/Adv-Routing-HOWTO.pdf

2002 era and of course things have been updated by leaps and bounds but this document contains all of the other non-iptables related tools and tricks.

Subject: [PLUG] Random drops and throttling

This isn't actually a problem that I'm having but an option that I didn't know about - the ability to use iptables to randomly drop packets (confuse your friends! enrage your devops!) as well as tc for traffic throttling.
