[PLUG] [plug-announce] Tue Jun 9 - PLUG North - "Plan 9" by Drew DeVault (7pm online)

PLUG North will be meeting on Tuesday, June 9, beginning at 7pm. Since
we're still all stuck at home due to COVID-19 we'll be doing this
month's meeting online. Details are at the bottom of the email.

This month, PLUG welcomes Drew DeVault, who will be giving a talk
entitled "Plan 9".

  You know Bell Labs made Unix, but did you know they made a sequel?
  Come learn how Plan 9 came to be, what makes it special, and how
  modern computing has been profoundly influenced by its design.

Let's stick with the schedule we used last month, which is:

7:00      Introductions, test setup, chatting, etc.
7:15      Presentation
Post-talk Q&A, chatting, etc.

7 isn't a strict start time, so feel free to hop on a little early if
you'd like.

We'll be using Jitsi Meet, an free and open source videoconference
platform, for the meeting.  You can access the meeting online at

Jitsi Meet also has apps for iOS and Android. If you decide to use one
of those apps, use meeting code "PLUGNorthJune2020".
