Re: [PLUG] CD burn fails - why?

This is the shotgun approach but:

  -  Try a 1x speed burn.  Painfully slow but it's only a CD's worth of data.  If it works then you know it is probably a buffering issue somewhere.

  -  Try a different burning program.  I generally use imgburn on Ubuntu and Windows with little trouble.  If it works you know the hardware is good.

  -  Try running the burn as root in case there are permissions issues

  -  Use the output of the app to figure out what the individual commands and options are.  Change any options that are using pipes to using temporary files so that only one command is running at a time.  When you find the command that fails, check the input file to see if it looks "good" and then bump up the --verbose error messages to try and find the problem.  Kind of painful but if you have cmd1 | cmd2 | cmd3 | cmd4 it can be hard to figure out which command actually failed.

I'm trying to burn my first CD (data) on my (relatively new) Kubuntu 20.04 workstation.
It fails every time.
Yes, it's a bunch of Pink Floyd mp3 files.

I've reviewed these logs a couple of times but ultimately I'm not understanding why the darn (polite) thing falis.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Eric
