A clearance does not follow you. If you already have a clearance
from a previous assignment, and depending on the time out of
government control, determines if the background investigation is
still current or is null and void and has to be started from
scratch. Also the clearance is just for your current duties.
There is no such thing as a blanket TS Clearance.
The best candidate for a civilian posting is someone who is just
getting out of the military with a clearance relevant to the work
that they are doing, and is already Linux admin.
