Easier for Ubuntu users. Is *anyone* else shipping snap? Also, putting half a distro inside a snap package (all of Mesa, half the DRM chain, lots of audio/networking support, 64 and 32 bit versions of dozens and dozens of libraries) doesn't seem like a particularly maintainable effort, even for Canonical. But yay for Ubuntu users, not running Nvidia, who want Steam and the whole supporting cast in a single monolithic package. All ten of them. Just seems like a new and more exciting wheel, with more eggs in fewer baskets. ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
