[PLUG] Tshooting

This laptop freezes. I have temp monitors to see if that causes it. Doesn't seem to. Tried changing NVIDIA driver for fun. Nope. Ran memtest. Pass. Canned air, reseat mem, cursing a lot, all failed. It seizes under load or not.

There was an old error, not frequent, about something not going past a ring (sorry). Research proved I wasn't the only one, prob Nvidia-related. Tried every solution - nothing. This was waaaay back (Ubuntu 14 and earlier), nothing since.

Vertical boxes that won't copy here ---------------------------------

I see a blue or horiz-striped screen and have to hard reboot

I don't know what the unknown keypress is - I wasn't pressing anything.
Smells like hardware, but I can't make anything fail consistently. I don't see much in syslog. Do you? (glogg is great for viewing syslog)

If I leave it alone, it won't freeze, but this causes an existential dilemma.
