I think most gun safes would protect up to 400 degrees or something
like that. A lot of people already have gun safes.

I do this. I highly recommend getting a box high off the floor so a
flood won't mess it up. For extra credit, put it in a plastic baggie
with a drier pouch to guard against flood and humidity, and for extra
special credit put it in a steel container to lessen the effects of EMP.

Of course if there's a serious EMP incident, the bank will never
open again anyway. I stash my home backups in a very small (maybe 2
gallon) steel garbage can with a tight fitting lid. Obviously, in the
event of a real EMP attack, I'd have much bigger fish to fry, but maybe
some day a long time after, it would be useful to have. And if the EMP
is just from a Coronal Mass Ejection, I could probably get up and
running pretty quickly.
