As I struggle with my Saturday deadline, I wonder if there is an inexpensive eMail hosting service that might get me by for a month or so.  I need something I can spin up very quickly.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I would stay away from the big commercial systems (Google, Office 365), which, despite being widely used, tend to have the most issues and don't have your best interest in mind. Additionally, they tend to have the most technically inferior systems, for whatever reason; most independent mail providers and open source mail servers often far better functionality.

My personal recommendation would be PurelyMail for something cheap and temporary - only $10 a year. I have one account through them that somebody else pays for it (since I can self host email, I don't believe in paying for email, period). Nothing but good things to say about them and if you have issues, it's easy to get support.

I've also heard good things about Fastmail, probably the most popular independent mail provider, though I have no personal experience (and it costs $60 a year, as opposed to $10).
