Re: [PLUG] Why Don't These Links Work Anymore?

My wi-fi is spotty at one of my computers (I don't know why... seems to be something driver related).  When wi-fi cuts out when I'm actively using Firefox, Firefox will pop up a message like that.  Even after I re-establish my wi-fi connection, the tabs that said "unable to connect" after my wi-fi had died still will say "unable to connect".    That makes me think that Firefox holds onto some sort of previous connection state.

I know it sounds like a "turn it off and on again" response, but it's possible that Firefox is mis-remembering that it cannot connect to that site... so have you tried nuking the both the history and cookies for those both of those particular sites (the data tracking site and the target site?

I subscribe to a daily newsletter from Join1440.com.  They often have links in the eMail to sources or other articles, using their URL with a tracking code.  Lately, these links give me an "Unable to Connect" error in Firefox.  Previously (a month or so ago) they all worked fine.

I've tried disabling all the security features in firefox (including ghostery, and others), but I can't get them to work. Unfortunately, firefox doesn't tell me anything specific about the error.

Anybody got any ideas?
