Re: [PLUG] Firefox critical vulnerability |
Thanks for pointing this out! If you disable snaps and use the Mozilla ppa, you get it early. :-)I saw that "Firefox needs to restart" message first thing this morning, and sure enough I'm on 131.0.2, despite using Xubuntu 22.04.

Yesterday, Mozilla released a fix to a critical Firefox vulnerability with exploits in the wild (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2024-51/ <https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2024-51/>). While critical vulnerabilities are rare in Firefox, this one would seem to warrant fixes once Linux distributions release them (Arch has; Ubuntu & Debian have not yet).Regards – Bhaskar ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
