[PLUG] [plug-announce] Tue Jan 14 - PLUG North - "Ceph: An Introduction" by Rich Freeman (7pm at CoreDial) |
(NOTE: I got some feedback after December's meeting that it's no longer called "CoreDial" anymore. As soon as I find out what they're called now I'll update the announcement and website, but I likely won't have time until tonight. In the meantime we're still meeting in the same place as before, but the signage might be a little different.) PLUG North will be meeting on Tuesday, January 14 at CoreDial's offices in Blue Bell, beginning at 6:45 pm. Directions to the meeting location can be found at the end of this email. This month, PLUG welcomes back Rich Freeman, who will be giving a talk entitled "Ceph: An Introduction". Ceph is a FOSS distributed storage solution that is rapidly gaining in popularity. This talk will go over some of Ceph's key features, architecture, and ways to go about deploying it. There will be time for Q&A and perhaps some limited demonstration. The meeting will take place from around 6:45-9pm at CoreDial's office space in Blue Bell, PA. There is usually some Q&A before the formal presentation starts. There won't be any food at the meeting, so make your dinner plans accordingly. After the meeting people sometimes go to the Miller's Ale House at the nearby Plymouth Meeting Mall.
