[PLUG] [plug-announce] Wed Feb 5 - PLUG Central - "Ceph: An Introduction" by Rich Freeman (7pm EST online)

PLUG Central will be meeting on Wednesday, February 5, beginning at
7pm EST. The meeting will be online. Details are at the bottom of the
email.

This month, PLUG welcomes back Rich Freeman. Rich will be giving a
talk entitled "Ceph: An Introduction". This will be the same talk he
did at PLUG North in January. Rich has kindly agreed to repeat it
since there were a number of folks who were interested in the material
but couldn't make it there in person for the meeting.

Here is Rich's description for the talk:

    Ceph is a FOSS distributed storage solution that is rapidly
    gaining in popularity.  This talk will go over some of Ceph's key
    features, architecture, and ways to go about deploying it.  There
    will be time for Q&A and perhaps some limited demonstration.

We'll be using Jitsi Meet, a free and open source videoconferencing
platform, for the meeting. The meeting will start at 7 PM EST
(midnight UCT). The talk will start roughly around 7:15. Q&A and
general chat will follow the talk.
