Re: [PLUG] Hackaday & ESP32 Back Door

This seems like a recent update: https://hackaday.com/2025/03/10/the-esp32-bluetooth-backdoor-that-wasnt/

Has anybody else noticed how conspicuously silent Hackaday.com has been about the apparent backdoor in ESP32 devices?

This seems like it would be their bread-and-butter, but they've said nothing.

I'm wondering if the backdoor is real, or just headline writer's scare tactics.  I would have thought Hackaday would have had some good analysis of the issue, and generated some good comments.

Anybody know anything about this?
