Re: [PLUG] VPN Recommendation Wanted

For keeping traffic to yourself (or using your own exit nodes) Tailscale or the self hosted version Headscale. Based on Wireguard and is the closest thing to magic I've seen in awhile.

VPN services to obscure traffic? Probably Proton VPN. That's really the only one I've used and trust the most. By trust, I mean I don't trust VPN providers, but from my understanding, Proton is the least crappy.

Depends on what you want to achieve - but yeah, rolling your own is great too - but I’d opt for WireGuard over OpenVPN.

But if you want to bypass geo-restrictions or get a little more privacy by “blending in with the crowd”, it might be worth it to throw some money at a VPN service.

Anybody have a good recommendation for a VPN service?

Yes; your own.
