I have one - an Odyssey Neo G8.  I definitely would prefer it not be 
curved, but this was the best option I had at the time for the 
size/resolution.  I think they main reason they made it curved was due 
to the use of a VA panel, which has significant viewing angle 
restrictions.  At this size it would have probably resulted in 
noticeable vignetting.  The VA panel has contrast advantages I believe.

I quickly got used to it.  However, it isn't ideal for things like photo 
editing or anything else where you care about angles and parallel lines 
and such.

I don't care for ultraside monitors, but if that's your thing I could 
definitely see how the curve helps.
