I have a DELL Latitude XPi CD.  It uses an ESS 1887 audio controller, which
as I said, took a little trial and error to figure out which settings
worked.  Email me off-list if you want my audio setup.

The real trick on this machine (and lots of other laptops) was getting a
driver for the NeoMagic 2093 (also called the 128V) video controller, which
required the XFCom X Server from Precision Insight / Red Hat, that was not
