Hmm...After getting error from the first app, I went and got the latest
LimeWire (1.7) to try, since you mention it worked for you.

It started the install and also generated dialog boxes too small to see
the contents of.

Is there a varable or setting governing the size of java dialog boxes on
X displays?

Could it be KDE? I think I'll Try another Window Manager and see...
