The HighPoint Rocket claims to be able to support 4 IDE devices:
http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA/r100.htm

So I guess I could have 4 drives on the PCI card, 2 drives on mobo IDE1
and the DVDWriter on mobo IDE2? I dont need real HA here, and am OK to
be at the mercy of the PCI IDE card dying. I just want my data to
survive a single HDD death.

Anyone used the HighPoint Rocket cards under Linux?

Which card did you use? Was it on a Linux machine?

Thanks!
