[PLUG] ifconfig command...

What is the ifconfig command to set a NICs MAC from Knoppix?

In order to do if from root do you have to do something other than su and
then hit enter for the blank root password? (Want to be able to temporarily
pop a Knoppix instance in place of a cable modem attached router/firewall to
run Ethereal.)
