[PLUG] Re: Dual Head Capable Linux Laptop?

Dual-head will work for most laptops with a video card that supports
it. I use nVidia's GeForce2Go on a Dell Inspiron 8200. You have to set
the "TwinView" option for nVidia, in your xorg.conf.

It's a matter of finding out how to activate dual-head for your
graphics card, and of actually activating it in your xorg.conf (or
XFree86 configuration file).

This works fine with the Thinkpad T41p that I am using (ATI FireGL T2
video). The displays for the LCD and external CRT are completely
independent.

I assume by extension that this will work on laptop with any modern ATI
video controller. Other laptops will likely work as well, but I can't
vouch for 'em.
