keep in mind, you have to update your Java to support new DST regulations.

Java keeps its own timezone info (zi directory).

Sun Mar 11 10:00:00 EST 2007

If you put a date after the (old) DST date you will see what I mean

date --date="Apr 10 15:00:00 UTC 2007"

Returns...

Tue Apr 10 11:00:00 EDT 2007
