while i'm not knowledgable to comment on the specifics of this webapp, i feel 
compelled to comment because no-one else has yet done so... don't do this. 

 making files world writable is a very bad thing and gets you nothing besides 
potential security liabilities etc.    there's nothing "less readable" about 
setting the permissions to 755.
