* Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a results-driven system administrator to operate and 
design all production and QA platforms in the enterprise.  You will lead 
in a broad range of technical areas including hardware, networking, 
databases, and system administration/engineering.   You will drive 
change both in the operations organization and throughout the 
enterprise.  You are curious, detail oriented, and organized. You have 
excellent written and verbal communication skills

* A bit about the job

As a Senior System Administrator in Infrastructure and Shared Services, 
you will build world class Enterprise Infrastructure and provide 
pro-active support for a secure, reliable, scalable, and highly 
available environment.  Some specific tasks:

•	Establish system procedures, including security, system resource 
monitoring, system tuning, capacity planning, backup / restore, and the 
successful transfer of deployments from development and QA environment 
to production.
•	Ensure high availability and redundancy of critical system resources 
including recovery activities in the event of component failure or 
larger disaster situations from component failure to facility disasters 
or disaster as well as disaster recovery activities
•	Ensure appropriate runtime capacity and performance levels are managed 
across the enterprise infrastructure and ensure the right technical 
infrastructure is in place to support business initiatives.  Act as a 
technical sanity check (when appropriate) with project managers.
•	Actively mentor junior talent to find exciting new areas for them to 
explore.
•	Coordinate and prioritize many competing requirements and external 
demands for resources and time lines.   Drive implementation of projects 
for your team, which can involve programming, procurement, deployment, 
maintenance, troubleshooting, education, and emergency response.

* Your Qualifications

Administration, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of:

•	Solaris, Linux, or other Unix systems
•	Apache (1.3)
•	PostgreSQL
•	DNS
•	Telco Circuits: PRIs T1s T3s OC12s ...
•	RTP & SIP a plus
•	Sparc/Intel Architectures

Knowledge of:
•	Perl
•	SQL

* In general:
•	BS in Computer Science or 6 years experience as an SA in a production 
environment.
•	4+ years experience with large scale system administration, 
application programming, PC hardware, networking, and datacenter 
infrastructure
•	Experience supporting internally developed, customer facing products
•	Experience in mixed Unix/Windows system administration a plus
•	Knowledge of Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, and SAN technologies a plus.
