Re: [PLUG] Need 3 Intel Ethernet Cards in Philly today

Sorry doing this from recently upgraded wm6.1 xv6800. If you have one verizon finally released the free firmware patch from 6 to 6.1.

I guess I have to ask why specifically intel. 3com, realtek ...etc are all well supported. I could understand if you said you needed the 3com 3des nic cards for an encrypted only network which I also happen to a few of. Wired Nic cards are like parts; parts is parts.

I agree 100%, but it exists and there was a chance they would have the cards he needed, so I figured it was worth a mention.

the penn computer connection is ridiculously overpriced and has extremely limited selection of hardware

It's a slim chance, but the Penn bookstore has a little computer shop called the Computer Connection that hangs off the side of it. Probably worth a phone call to see which cards they have if you can't find them elsewhere.
