Unless you are a Linux gamer, or doing major 3D work like CAD, as far as I'm concerned(IMHO) under Linux they are pretty much the same. Anything new/just released that you buy will most likely lag Linux support unless it's a graphics chipset that has already been out for awhile. Has anyone actually tracked video memory under Linux; it's got to be low and under utilized. Purchasing a 256MB-1GB PCI-Express video card seem like a waist for a Linux only system. Of course if you are going to dual boot Vista then 256mb is the minimum for Aero support.
