[PLUG] Not having a problem.

In spite of the spate of paranormal events that seem to follow me
around, I had some decent experiences that I'd like to share.

After verifying the claim from the guy who couldn't install Xubuntu from
his DVD-RW and found success with a DVD-ROM drive, Xubuntu 8.10 blasted
itself onto my laptop in no time flat.

Although it hurt like hell, I waited til it rebooted before trying to
make my life any more difficult and was rewarded by the OS telling me it
found my Broadcom wireless and ATI video cards and would I like it to
install the proprietary drivers.

Hell yeah!

POOF - it worked.
No, really.
I'm not lying.
You gotta believe me.
Why would I make this up? It's not even funny.
It was like having my very own guardian angel, looking over me.

I quickly realized that I didn't have vncviewer installed (because when
I typed vncviewer, it couldn't find it - I'm very sharp, you know). It
came with vinagre, which I tried to install on other computers but it
didn't work. I brought it up and it WORKED.

I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound so excited but things work so rarely
that I'm just not used to it.

I've also been having some problems with vncviewer acting strangely and
generally being unstable. Vinagre worked much better in terms of
function and stability, even allowing me to resize the desktop. It also
does tabs so I can open more than one remote connection.

I better go now, before my computers set themselves on fire or the cat
starts hacking the FBI's website.
