Re: [PLUG] Vendor interested in giving a talk to PLUG

I've been a PHD business partner for a while now doing installation support for them. It's a great product that does de-duplication for ESX backups very inexpensively.

Most of the interface is still console/curses based, but slowly migrating more and more to the
web interface.

My take: This product has a very good core engine - and the GUI is slowly catching up to match.

It's interesting because it's distributed, partly running on each ESX host, while other parts run in management 'VM's or in 'Virtual Backup Appliance' VMs. The # of VM's scale as the number of hosts increase. I've also seen 20:1 compression in practice due to the de-duplication.
