Re: [PLUG] do no evil

I call out anyone who does it, whether that's Google or anyone else. The only reason I allow cell phone carriers to do it without complaining is because of 911
Anyone else doing it is on my shitlist because they have no business doing that in the first place.

It's terrible because someone is monitoring your location, or because Google is doing it? All cell phone carriers monitor your location 24/7. Apple does it. Microsoft does it (and not just on phones!). I'm not saying it's a non issue, I'm just wondering why you are only calling out Google about it.

according to this, Google Maps is on, tracking your location, even if you uninstall it. 'Fix' is to turn off GPS and use it only if/when you need it.
