I had to use CDE when I had a Sun workstation as my desktop at work in
the early 2000s. I was never a fan. In particular I could never figure
out how to switch desktops without clicking on that bottom widget
thingy. At some point I managed to get a keyboard macro to click it
for me, but it still stole focus. On the whole I found it far LESS
functional than modern trash like Gnome!
