I'd like to point out that, IMO, this entire discussion (in re Mr. Spurgeon's regex issues):

(a) Highlights the best thing about Perl, i.e. TMTOWTDI.

(b) Highlights the best thing about Perl culture, i.e. our 
	willingness to help each other write better Perl.
