meetings

Hello

Do you guys have room for one more at your meetings?  I have been studying
programming for a  few years now and have been on your mailing list for
about the same amount of time.  Thanks for not giving me the boot a while
ago...:)  My occupation is machinist.   I don't know a single soul that
knows anything about computers.  It would be nice to talk to people that
do.

I'm interested in Perl, PHP, Java, C/C++, Bash, Ksh and Java Script.  I
don't plan on being a pro at any one of those, but will concentrate on the
individual features that I find useful.  The same goes for the operating
systems I work with.  For my servers I like to use the BSD's and my work
stations are Linux and Windows.  I also use Linux to learn BSD.

In the future I'd like to mix Perl and other languages with C for operating
mechanical devices.  Maybe make a Micro Brewery so you guys don't have to
spend so much money at New Deck and Cav's.....  Just kidding.
I know the upenn area  from taking ballroom dance lessons (don't ask) at
Old English Court or what ever it's called.
