Sounds wierd. Like I said I don't know Redhat but ...
I'd try a slackware boot/root set and type fdisk /dev/hda at the login prompt.
Since you can boot DOS I assume it's the master drive on the primary
IDE interface. How does one get to a login prompt in a Redhat install setup.
