That is strange, and I was gonna ask about the same kinda problem w/ my system.
df -h:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/hda5 178M 17M 151M 10% /
/dev/hda1 48M 872K 44M 2% /boot
/dev/hda6 178M 14M 155M 8% /var
/dev/hda7 267M 5.2M 247M 2% /home
/dev/hda8 2.4G 515M 1.8G 22% /usr/local
/dev/hda9 2.4G 515M 1.8G 22% /usr
/dev/hdb1 1.2G 0 1.2G 0% /home/dos
/dev/hdc 553M 553M 0 100% /mnt/cdrom
Notice that /dev/hda8 and /dev/hda9 are reported as the same size,
but actually /dev/hda8 is only about 400M, 1.8G is the right size for
/dev/hda9
Anyone else experiencing problems like this?
It hasn't hurt me yet (that I know of), but it could be a problem in the
future.
Btw I'm running kernel 2.2.6, i hope this isn't related to the fs corruption
reported for 2.2.x kernels. :-(
