[I wrote this initially privately, then he responded to me, so I thought
I'd forward this on to the list cause someone else just asked...]
I write:

 Are you aware that you have your k-kool elite filter on in your last two

k-kool elite filter?  what's that?  I was just toying around with a snippet
of perl:

perl -ne 'foreach(split//){rand()<0.5?print:print uc;}'

from vi (line range):

1,10!perl -ne 'foreach(split//){rand()<0.5?print:print uc;}'

vi will process lines 1 through 10, inclusive, through the program you 
specify and read them back into the buffer.

just trying to be a bit light hearted this morning.  If it's offensive, i'll
stop.
